THE HOME BEYOND

WE ARE SO SAD

WHEN THOSE WE LOVE

ARE CALLED TO LIVE

IN THAT HOME ABOVE

BUT WHY SHOULD WE GRIEVE

WHEN THEY SAY GOODBYE

AND THEY GO TO DWELL

IN A CLOUDLESS SKY

FOR THEY HAVE GONE

TO PREPARE THE WAY

AND WE WILL JOIN THEM AGAIN

SOME HAPPY DAY

From the pen of Helen Steiner Rice

BEYONG LIFE'S GATEWAY

There's an open gate

At the end of the road

Through which each must go alone

And there in a light we cannot see

Our Father claims His own

Beyond the gate, your loved one

Find happiness and rest

That a loving God knows best.

A PRAYER (ST FRANCIS OF ASSISI)

O DIVINE MASTER

GRANT THAT I MAY NOT SO MUCH SEEK

TO BE CONSOLED AS TO CONSOLE;

TO BE UNDERSTOOD, AS TO UNDERSTAND

TO BE LOVED, AS TO LOVE;

FOR IT IS IN GIVING THAT WE RECEIVE,

IT IS IN PARDONING THAT WE ARE PARDON,

IT IS IN DYING THAT WE ARE BORN TO ETERNAL LIFE.

WHEN DEATH COMES
Death comes to us in may ways.Tragic especially in accidents, slowly especially in sickness and etc.The manner a person dies often leaves those left behind asking alot of questions with regards to afterlife issues. But all Christians should not be too sad because each and every member of our family, including ourselves will one day walk through that door that brings us to eternity with our Lord and saviour. If our children go through that door first, we know that they are in the safe hands of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. If our children goes first, you will not fear death because if death does come, its ok with you. Many people fear death because of sins in their life, or they don't want their children to be left behind with no one to look after them.

We always blame ourselves for not doing this or that to prevent such sad happenings.People always ask all sort of questions saying that this should have been done etc. Well we must not try to escape death.Noone will escape death! To put all kinds of blame shows that we want to remain in this world. When death comes, we will not be able to prevent it.What is important is to ensure that we are saved in Christ Jesus and that heaven is our permanent home waiting for us.

MISCARRIAGE
I remembered, after my family tragedy, I bought a CD by one Christian worship leader (Ray Bozt) and this song "The Anchor still stand" gave much comfort to me. It was written by his friend whose wife had miscarriaged a number of times. His friend said that the life of the child just slip throuh his fingers as he held the dead infant. Indeed it hurts so much for mother and father who waited in intense anxiety for the day to have this thing happenning to them. I had so many friend and colleague who went through this agony.

But I can comfort you that, you will meet your child in heaven if you go to heaven one day. They will be waiting for you, for they are under the care of our loving Father.
Little children and children has an automatic place in heaven, but we parents do not have unless we receive Jesus as our Lord and saviour. If your wife had miscarriaged, do not abandon God because your child is safe with Him. He wants you to trun to Him.

" I, even I, am He who comforts you." (Isaiah 51:12a)

Read in the news about the tragic happening. Though there's little that friends can say or do, may the unspoken words of caring and the silent prayers that come from within the heart give you strength and peace.
( Margerita Murib, Kuching)

Although in time of sorrows there's so little one can say, may the sympathy this brings you help to comfort you today. ( YB Michael Lisa )

When we received the news, all our church members cried. Our church service held special prayers for your family. ( Peter - Bintulu)

We heard the news and I have requested the whole SIB Churches to pray to God to bring confort to you and family. ( Rev. Gerawat Maran, President SIB Sarawak).

1.6.98
Meechang and Rufina, I am lost for words to say except the word of God which we can identify with during times of need, like this.Everyone who heard, we have shared with you, your grief by praying for you to uphold you that you will continue to be faithful and serve Him in your calling.Certainly people did not only pray for your family but the salvation of many who will come across your way, the old the young will be saved through Godly testimony. We love you and thank you for your undivided love and committment for the Lun Bawang community as a whole.People like you are rare to find. You are a provision from God for our people. Love and prayers, on behalf of KWPLBS, Mina B.

June 1998
Thinking of you in the loss of your loved ones.Though there's little that I can say or do, may the unspoken words of caring and the silent prayers that come from within the heart give you strength and peace.May God be with you always at these times of your sorrows. Love, Sheela and family.

17.05,1998
Your time of sorrow is also my sorrow, knowing you all so well, mentioning you in prayer, words can hardly share, as tears uncontrol, but please trust in the Lord, saviour divine, He knows us so well, He won't leave us. Jock and Family (Su)

THE RIVER OF LIFE
How many of us ever read about the RIVER OF LIFE?In the book of Revelation, everyone will come to the River of Life when our time comes..but for those of us who are still here on earth, our God let the River of Life flows through us/ or within us to comfort us and to wipe our sorrows. In the Gospel according to John Chapter 7:38, says
"whoever believes in Me, from within them will flow springs of Living Water."

GOING HOME EARLY

If we can all go to heaven together, it would have been better...but when come to this, God is the one who will decide who to go first. God gives and God takes away. Even if death could tear us apart, our spirit lives on and God put them in a place where they will be untouchable by the evil spirits. There they will rest, waiting for us, one by one to return home to heaven. So in actual fact, our love ones, who die in the Lord, are with Him in heaven.

I come to realize that my love for my children is so strong that,my thoughts of them make me heaven-focus. It is like, we would always want to go home if members of our families are there. If there is no one at home, it is likely that our hearts would not be thinking of going home. Because 3 of my children are already in heaven, to reconcile with them is of utmost priority.

Each care, each ill of mortal birth,
is sent in pitying love,
To lift the lingering heart from earth,
and speed its flight above.
and every pang that wrings the breast,
and every joy that dies,
Tell us to see a purer rest,
and trust to holier ties..
- Montgomery

somebody wrote:" I am rich in heaven, in my children. Already I have sent thither many. Have I lost them? Not one of them. They are nobler and more worthy of love than they were then. They had been saved for me better than I could have saved them for myself. I have laid them up; and i have verified the declaration "Where your treasure is, there will your heart also."

SOMETIMES...........

SOMETIMES GOD BREAKS OUR SPIRIT TO SAVE OUR SOUL
SOMETIMES HE BREAKS OUR HEART TO MAKE US WHOLE
SOMETIMES HE SEND US PAIN SO WE CAN BE STRONGER
SOMETIMES HE SEND US SICKNESS SO WE TAKE BETTER CARE OF OURSELVES
SOMETIMES HE TAKES EVERYTHING AWAY FROM US
SO WE CAN LEARN THE VALUE OF EVERYTHING WE HAVE
